Request Prescription RefillThere are four ways to request refills of your current medications (that is, to request a new prescription that authorizes dispensing of additional quantities of your current medications). During a Visit: The first way is to do so during a scheduled appointment. Please inform your provider or the nurse that you need a current prescription refilled. Your provider will send the prescription to the pharmacy of your choice, securely by electronic means. The next three ways are listed in order of preference. The first two methods have far less impact on your provider and the staff. Pharmacy Requests Refill: Your TriValley provider requests that you ask or allow your pharmacist to request a refill for your current medications on your behalf. With this method, your TriValley provider can evaluate and process the request with the greatest efficiency. It is done securely through electronic means. Simply contact your pharmacist (pharmacy) and ask them to do so. Patient Portal: You may use the Patient Portal After logging on, from a list of your current medications, you select those that need refilling and your request is delivered to your provider securely by electronic means. For this method, your access to the Patient Portal needs to be enabled. If you have not done so, please review the information in Our Patient Services, Patient Portal tab and ask the receptionist to enable your access to the Patient Portal (ex., "I {or, My family and I} want access to the Patient Portal") Website Request: Select your Provider's office from the list below. Complete the online form. Notice: With any of the last three methods, you may be asked to make an appointment to see your provider before a prescription is renewed. Also, you may NOT request a refill of a controlled substance (example, narcotic) or pain medication. |
