Franconia Office History

This is a brief overview of the office, both as a facility and regarding its provider staff. Those of you who have been in the area for some time may recognize some familiar names from the past. Note: details regarding current TriValley providers are provided on their web pages.

Jeffrey Thatcher, MD joined Dr. Jack Nuschke of Souderton Medical Center, 205 W Reliance Road, Souderton in 1989. He purchased the practice upon Dr. Nuschke’s retirement in 1991.

Hal Cohan, MD began a new practice, Towamencin Family Practice, Towamencin, in 1992 at the completion of his residency program. It was located in Ralph’s Corner (Welsh Road and Forty-Foot Road).

In June 1995, Dr. Thatcher and Dr. Cohan joined several other local physicians in forming TriValley Primary Care. The doctors continued working from their offices, which became, respectively, the Souderton office and the Towamencin office of TriValley Primary Care.

Debra Carroll, MSN, CRNP joined the Souderton office in 1996 from a faculty position in Philadelphia.

In the spring of 1997, Dr. Cohan closed his Towamencin office, and joined Dr. Thatcher in the Souderton office.

Rebekah Haggard, MD joined the office in 1998 following her residency program.

In the summer of 1999, the office moved to newly renovated space, 211 Telford Pike in Franconia Township, changing its name to the Franconia office of TriValley Primary Care.

Dr. Haggard left TriValley in October 2002 to relocate to Idaho.

Kelly Rose, MD joined the office in July 2003 following completion of her residency program.

In 2005, a room in the office was renovated to host TriValley’s DXA (DEXA) bone scanning service. The service began operations in May 2005. The office also hosts TriValley’s Board Room.

Kelly O'Driscoll, MD joined the office in August 2007 following completion of her residency program.
