Indian Valley Office History

This is a brief overview of the office, both as a facility and regarding its provider staff. Those of you who have been in the area for some time may recognize some familiar names from the past. Note: details regarding current TriValley providers are provided on their web pages.

Completing his family practice residency program, Steven Bimson, MD discovered that Dr. G. Winfield Hedrick was retiring and his practice was available for purchase. He approached a fellow residency classmate, H. Jeffrey Wilkins, MD, about joining him in practice. On a handshake, Indian Valley Family Practice was formed in 1991. It was located at 20 South School Lane, Souderton. The following year, Dr. Richard Cook’s practice was acquired upon his leaving the Perkasie area. His patients were seen at his former office on 5th Street, Perkasie, until both offices were consolidated into one at the current practice location in 1994.

In 1993, Lori Rousche, MD, another residency classmate, joined them upon leaving a Doylestown practice.

In January 1994, the practice moved to 3496 Bethlehem Pike, Suite D in Souderton Center, Hilltown Township, Souderton, closing the other two locations.

In June 1995, Drs. Bimson, Wilkins and Rousche joined several other local physicians in forming TriValley Primary Care. The doctors continued working from their Hilltown Township office, which became the Indian Valley office of TriValley Primary Care.

In late 1996, Hilltown Township renumbered the office address as 777 Route 113, Souderton.

In 1998 Heather Hart, MD joined the practice at conclusion of her residency program.

Dr. Wilkins left TriValley in June 2002 for a position in the pharmaceutical industry.

In July 2002, Daniel Cochran, DO joined TriValley Primary Care following completion of his residency program.
